DESCRIPTION:This exam is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR\, as well as other lifesaving skills\, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings and must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. You must first complete the online portion of the course before attending this skills session. The link for the online part is https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls.  \nThe BLS Skills Exam is an Instructor-led course that tests single-rescuer and team basic life support. DESCRIPTION:Safety Skills \nStudents learn how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. \n\nChild Care Skills\nStudents learn tips to manage behavior that will help them stay in control of themselves and the children in their care. Students also learn the ages and stages of child development\, as well as practice diapering. \n\nFirst Aid & Rescue Skills\nLearning skills such as choking rescue and CPR is often students’ favorite part of the class. Students also learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. (CPR included in Safe Sitter® Essentials with CPR and Safe Sitter® Expanded.) \n\nLife & Business Skills\nThe ability to screen jobs\, discuss fees\, and greet employers will set students up for success now and in the future. Students practice these skills through various role plays.
