Donations made to our Annual Fund Drive, as well as donations made using the yellow button (above), are used to directly support Clifton Park & Halfmoon Emergency Corps community outreach programs. These programs include Car Seat Installations, Academic Scholarships, Community CPR Classes, AED Distribution, Babysitter Certification, Blood Pressure Clinics, Stop the Bleed classes, and other safety education activities within the community.

Memorial donations are used to support staff development and training initiatives and help us purchase updated equipment for the ambulances and medical staff.

Every day we explore ways to continually improve and increase the value that we bring to our community. We appreciate your support!

Please contact the CPHM Community Development office at 518-371-3880 ext. 117 with questions about donations.

Is Clifton Park Halfmoon Emergency Corps a non-profit?

Yes. Clifton Park Halfmoon Emergency Corps (CPHM EMS) is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit with the Internal Revenue Service. Our EIN is 14-1609161.

Where can I find financial information on your non-profit standing?

You can visit the New York Charity Bureau, Guidestar, or Charity Navigator to find our annual IRS form 990.

If I pay for ambulance service on my property tax bill then why do I still get billed for services and receive a fundraising mailer?

The portion of your property tax levy that goes towards the ambulance service operation covers only 36% of the total cost of operations for the budget year (2020).

The remainder of the operating budget is made up by revenue recovered through billing for the ambulance services provided.

If I make a donation, what does that funding go to?

Our mission is to provide Premier Patient Care and cultivate Community Partnerships. In addition to the nearly 7,000 Emergency Medical Service (EMS) calls we respond to each year, we are dedicated to offering the community a deep resource of additional value through safety education programs and services.

Currently, all donations received and dollars raised during our fund drive go directly to outreach education such as car seat clinics, babysitting certifications, scholarships, community CPR courses and public access to Automatic External Defibrillator (AEDS ). Learn more about these programs here.

I just made a donation to the fire service, is CPHM EMS part of my local fire department?

CPHM is a part of a team of emergency first responders in your community. Although we are not associated with, staffed by or funded by the various Fire Departments in the Towns of Clifton Park and Halfmoon or the City of Mechanicville, we do work closely with them to provide the highest level of pre-hospital emergency medical care possible. When you call 911, you may or may not have both members of the Fire Department and CPHM EMS arrive to assist you.

CPHM is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. All charitable contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent by law.
