Opioid Overdose Prevention Program

Anyone can request a naloxone rescue kit

Anyone can request a naloxone rescue kit by emailing opp@cphmems.org, leaving a message at (518) 371-3880 x154 or you can stop by the station and request one.

Additionally, NYS residents can order free harm reduction supplies (naloxone, tests strips) through the OASAS website https://oasas.ny.gov/harm-reduction. Many libraries in Saratoga County have a Naloxone Box that contains free naloxone for community members to access (view the map here).

The Saratoga County Department of Health regularly holds Narcan distribution events throughout the county. Participants are trained in how to recognize an opioid overdose and administer nasal Narcan. Training takes about 10 minutes and a free Narcan Rescue Kit is provided. These are free, drop-in events. All Narcan training events are listed on the countywide calendar.
